Summary
| Description | Small pond near the Virgin River in Springdale, Utah. SpringHill Suites by Marriott building, where we were staying during our short visit to Zion National Park, is located right at the edge of this pond, the place for so many birds. You can see the pair of cackling geese (Branta hutchinsii) in the middle of it. With the sprawling tourism business in this small town, this pond is doomed. Every vacant space is getting filled with hotels and eateries. The only limit is the capacity of the Zion Canyon itself. Its popularity is difficult to explain, when there is a lot of other beautiful places in Utah which are still mostly overlooked. |
