Object history Die einzelnen Motive für das Wappen wurden nach geschichtlichen Quellen, die im Landesarchiv aufliegen, künstlerisch gestaltet. Im oberen Teil ist ein zweigiebeliger Trutzhof mit Walmdächern und Zinnen über dem Hofeingang dargestellt. Dies ist eine typische Form der Bauernhöfe zur Zeit der feindlichen Einfälle aus dem Osten. In einer Urkunde aus dem Jahre 1354 scheint der Name „WIGAND AM HOF“ auf. Später leitet sich daraus der Name „Weiglhof“ ab, nach dem die Gemeinde auch ihren Namen erhielt und auch jetzt noch der Name für die Katastralgemeinde ist.
