Aspicilia caesiocinerea (Nyl. ex Malbr.) Arnold, 1886

Photograph of a cross section of an apothecium taken through a compound microscope, x 100.   Note the dark olive epihymenium.

This collection of Aspicilia caesiocinerea was growing on a rock near the water on the east side of Liberty Reservoir (Trail head on Deer Park Road) in Carroll County, Maryland, USA.
