Summary[edit]

Tornado damage along the shores of Lake Roosevelt near Outing, MN, from the August 6, 1969 tornado. The photo was taken at the "Simmons Log Cabin Camp", located on Roosevelt Lake, along MN6. The camera direction is north and the cabins in the photo were numbered 8, 9 and 10. Damage in the foreground, left, is the remains of cabin #6. The update to this summary is provided by a survivor of this tornado. Photographer, Richard Swartfager, is deceased; Permission for use granted by surviving spouse.
