Description
English: Photograph of Michael Sumpter taken at Concord state prison in Massachusetts while he was an inmate there. Released as part of a press packet by the Middlesex County district attorney's office at a November 2018 news conference announcing that modern DNA analysis had linked Sumpter to the unsolved 1969 rape and murder of Harvard graduate student Jane Britton. Sumpter's DNA previously linked him to two other unsolved rape-murders and one unsolved rape; in his later life he was convicted of two rapes. He died in 2001 after
