Description

The Noah's Ark second half of the 17th century, 81x63.5cm. Theodoros Poulakis "HAND OF THEODOROU POULAKIS, SAVE YOUR RELATIVES AND ANIMALS INTO THE ARC"

In this image, Noah and his family are represented on the right and on the left the ark and the animals, which enter in pairs, while in the sky the birds are flying towards the Ark. Above the middle, God, surrounded by clouds, points to the ark with his right hand. The painter copies an etching by J. Sadeler on a design by Martin de Vos.
