Summary

Description
English: Preserved northern façade of Cork County Gaol at Gaol Walk, Cork city. TheGaol was built 1818–1823 on a site then just outside the municipal boundary of Cork city, but brought within it in 1955 The gaol was demolished in the 1950s and the land incorporated into the adjacent campus of University College Cork. Only the portico and adjoining parts of the boundary wall remain.
