Other information | No identified artist of the illustration. Copyright lasted 50 years from publication, so being published in 1937 means the copyright ended in 1987. The Duration of Copyright and Rights in Performances Regulations 1995 harmonised UK laws with the EU by extending the protection period from 50 years to 70. Controversially, the change revived copyright on items which were over 50 years old but were less than 70 years old. This image is of an age to have been caught by this provision. It did not re-enter the PD until 1 January 2008. |
