Summary

Description
English: A photograph of a master link for a bicycle chain. Such items are used to connect the two ends of a chain after it has been adjusted for length. This particular item is marked as being suited to eight-speed chains (and is used for seven-speeds), and although the manufacturer does not make the claim, within limits, it has been found to be re-usable. It is opened manually with slight difficulty or with specially curved master-link pliers that extend around the chain's rollers. This so-called "PowerLink" is made by the SRAM manufacturer, and is supplied as a part of each new chain.
