Summary

Description
English: The relationship between the various ancient manuscripts of the New Testament, according to the Encyclopaedia Biblica.[page needed] Dotted pale blue lines indicate texts which were used to correct the main source.

The Red Text designates text-types - not single manuscripts. The Antiochian text-type is also known as Byzantine.

The isolated letters are standard siglums designating particularly significant manuscripts:

  • X [aleph] = Codex Sinaiticus
  • A = Codex Alexandrinus
  • B = Codex Vaticanus
  • C = Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus
  • D = Codex Bezae
  • k = Codex Bobiensis
  • L = Codex Regius
  • Sc = Curetonian Gospels
  • Ss = Syriac Sinaiticus

This diagram image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “TextsNT.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
