Summary

Description
English: Romanian steamer "Transilvania", 1967, built in 1938 at "Burmeister & Wein" Shipyard. Sistership: "Basarabia" , taken by USSR (renamed Ukraina) after the World War Second. Laid up after 1975 for 4 years in Constantza. Taken in tow in 1979 to Galatz to be restored at local shipyard. Capesized on 23.09.1979, due to negligence of Galatz harbour authorities. Given the topography of the of Constanta harbour (reef & dam), the first uploaded picture was reversed left-right.

Fr: Le paquebot "Transilvania" construit en 1938 au chantier naval "Burmeister & Wein". Compte tenu de la topographie du port de Constanta (rocher et digue), la première photo était inversée gauche-droite.

Ro: Motonava "Transilvania", 1967. Ținând cont de stâncă și de dig, prima fotografie era inversată dreapta-stânga.
