Summary

Description The U.S. Navy Fletcher-class destroyer USS Porterfield (DD-682) underway with her crew at quarters while entering or leaving port, circa the early 1950s. Note that the ship has received a new tripod foremast, but still carries World War II vintage radar antennas on the mast and gun director.
