Description

Waldernheath, a building described by Malcolm Neesam as a "huge private house" on Irongate Bridge Road (later designated as 60 Cornwall Road), Harrogate, North Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was erected in 1890 by David Simpson (mayor of Harrogate).

The building became a girls' school in later years, then a women's training centre. In the 1940s it became Waldernheath Girls' School. That school closed in 1965, and the building was renamed Alexander Court, and it became a care home. The care home was closed in 2014, and burnt down in 2016. It has been rebuilt in a different form, and is now a hotel.
