Deutsch: Der „Stein der Republik“ am Helmut-Zilk-Platz, ehemals Albertinaplatz, im 1. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Innere Stadt.
Der „Stein der Republik“ ist ein Teil des Denkmals gegen Krieg und Faschismus, das von dem Kommunisten und „Uraltstalinisten“ Alfred Hrdlicka geschaffen wurde (um ein Honorar von 5,5 Mio. Schilling plus 400.000 Schilling Inflationsausgleich). Am 24. November 1988 wurde das noch unvollendete Denkmal enthüllt: [1]. Der Stein selbst, in den ein Teil der Unabhängigkeitserklärung der provisorischen Regierung vom 27. April 1945 eingemeißelt ist, bildet den Abschluss des Denkmal-Ensembles. English: "Stone of the Republic", a part of "Memorial against war and fascism" in Vienna. |
