Deutsch: Das Wappen des Bezirkes Wieden setzt sich aus den Wappen dreier ehemaliger Wiener Vorstädte zusammen, die ganz oder teilweise auf dem heutigen Bezirksgebiet lagen.

Der heraldisch rechte (vom Betrachter aus gesehen linke) obere Teil steht für den Bezirksteil Wieden und zeigt einen Weidenbaum. Dieses Wappen entstand auf Grund einer Fehlinterpretation des Namens Wieden, der sich nicht vom Weidenbaum, sondern vom Begriff Widum (Pfarrhof oder Pfarrgut) ableitet. Links oben ist dem Bezirksteil Schaumburgergrund gewidmet. Hier wird der Stephansturm gezeigt, umgeben von der starhembergischen Grafenkrone. Diese steht für die Verteidigung Wiens 1683 durch Ernst Rüdiger von Starhemberg, der auf der Wieden das Freihaus besaß.

Der untere Wappenteil zeigt schließlich das Wappen der Vorstadt Hungelbrunn, von der ein kleiner Teil im heutigen 4. Bezirk liegt. Es zeigt einen Ziehbrunnen, über dem der Heilige Leopold, Landespatron von Niederösterreich, schwebt. Daneben stehen der heilige Petrus und der heilige Florian, dem die benachbarte Florianikirche in Matzleinsdorf geweiht ist.
