Defenestration[edit]

Maybe it's time to start Category:Deaths by defenestration -- Mattbrundage 16:42, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd rather be thrown out of a window than do that... Seriously though, if you can find a couple of notable examples on Wikipedia, then start that category for them. Lugnuts 17:38, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Defenestration category now exists, and contains seven articles. Werdnawerdna (talk) 04:28, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Complicated Accidental deaths[edit]

There are some redundancy within Accidental deaths. It is hard to judge what should be under both Accidental death and the cause, e.g. should an article be under both Death by drowning and Accidental death, or are all drownings considered accidental?

Furthermore, I cannot find categories for Electrocution, Asphyxiation, or Crushing (there are quite a few article with people who have died from collapsing buildings).

Of course not all drownings are accidental, some are accidental, some are suicide, some are murder. Sometimes, two categories, or ocasionally three, can be applied to the same person's article. Werdnawerdna (talk) 04:28, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Beating[edit]

There should be a Category:Deaths by beating - there are currently Wikipedia articles on people and murders that fit that description. Considering how many people are beaten to death each year, it is almost certain there will be more notable cases that fit into that category in the future. Road or traffic accident[edit]

Herein proposed is the Category:Deaths by road or traffic accident, as a container category within Category:Deaths by cause, whose subcategories would be the actual locations of the road accidents or the traffic accidents. This is because of the number of dead people, prominent for one reason or another either in life or as a result of their deaths, whose deaths occurred as a result of the road accidents or the traffic accidents in which they were involved.

Deaths by stroke[edit]

Is there a "Deaths by stroke" category? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 21:21, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
