This list of endangered languages is a real good thing but I think that would be interesting to have a kind of worldmap next to it in order to locate the languages more easily. The idea is the following: You're interested in European endangered languages, so, you simply have a look at the map to see which endangered languages you can find in Europe and once you've picked one up, you simply click on it in the list. What do you think?

Sounds good, however, there are simply too much endangered languages to put on one worldmap, especially in some other parts of the world like the Americas or Africa. You might like List of endangered languages For a start. — mark 08:22, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

False basis for inclusion in this list[edit]

Some of the languages included in this category, and its sub-categories, are not endangered, they are extinct and subject to revival attempts. A case in point is Cornish. These revived languages should not be included here. Roger 8 Roger (talk) 20:26, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
