Ethnicity categorization[edit]

The categorization of mathematicians into Arab, Persian, Turkish...etc is problematic as far as Islamic mathematics is concerned, as the 3 categories include modern scientists when "Islamic mathematics" strictly refers to the mathematics developed during the Islamic Golden Age. Therefore, I created a new category Category: Mathematicians of the Islamic Golden Age that would eventually contain all mathematicians regardless of race, ethnicity or religion and only within the page of each scholar, are the ethnicity/race categories are added. Once this is done, we can safely remove "Islamic mathematics" as a parent category from Category:Arab mathematicians ...etc The same would have to be done for Islamic astronomy, medicine, physics.
