I must stress the difference between "patricius" as a social status and "patricius" as title; therefore, I think there is no need to unify the two categories. --TakenakaN (talk) 16:39, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly, the two meanings are separate. However, AFAIK, the 'Category:Roman patricians" is not about the patrician class, but the people awarded the title of patricius. It says so right on top: "Holders of the late empire office of patrician." Therefore one of the two must go, or, better, let's keep one for the patrician class and one for the title holders.
