Francisco Franco?![edit]

Untitled[edit]

I don't know if it's good faith mistake, but I saw Francisco Franco being listed and sent an email to Yed Vashem regardng the issue. I got this this response from its Director, Irena Steinfeldt:

It is indeed a mistake. Francisco Franco was never recognized as Righteous Among the Nations.

We are presentely working on an upgraded website, where we will also put all the names of the Righteous recognized by Yad Vashem. Hopefully the site will be up within a couple of months. Thank you for informing us and for your interest. Irena Steinfeldt

quality controll missing at the Righteous Among the Nations Department[edit]

Criteria are not enough, missing quality controll of the work of the Righteous Among the Nations Department

Examples after 5 years unsolved case of Karoly Szabo at Righteous Among the Nations Department

(1) Irena Steinfeldt incorrect about rescue action January 8. 1945 ".... Stoeckler, but his statement, written immediately after the war, is the expression of thanks in general terms and does not contain any description of what it was exactly that Szabo did"

The english translation from this "Stoeckler statement": http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44938809/Karoly%20Szabo%20engl%20deutsch/Stockler%20English.pdf exactly the rescoue action, exact date, exact rescued 154 persons with 8 Stoeckler family members, act was dangerous to Szabo-s own live ... what is here not exactly?

(2) Irena Steinfeldt other incorrect statement: "very difficult, especially the identification of the person(s) who was (were) responsible for their rescue. For obvious reasons under these circumstances no introductions were made, and therefore the survivors could only hear the name of their rescuer after the war."

Karoly Szabo was introduced by Wallenberg to the survivors exactly December 24. 1944, the rescue was January 8. 1945, Irena Steinfeldt has the exact witness from this introduction since Summer 2006, you can read here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44938809/Karoly%20Szabo%20engl%20deutsch/Eva-Loew-Abschrift%20%281%29.jpg

(3) Irena Stenfeldt incorrect statement: "Szabo was acting under the instructions of Szalai Pal the superior from Szabo" This is totally new theorie of history constructed by Irena Steinfeldt: Szalai Pal was never the superior of Karoly Szabo, his superior was the swedish embassy, Wallenberg.
