Why differentiate this fromthe previous (and more widely used) Medal of Honor winners? Scott Mingus 03:01, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • There were over 300 pages in this category. Proposal to make subcategories was made - implemented yesterday. (See discussion on the Military history WikiProject - US Military History task force talk page). —ERcheck @ 03:23, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • This does not imply that the Medal of Honor award is specific to a particular branch, rather that the recipient was serving in that service at the time of the award. —ERcheck @ 03:25, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • A good idea - good luck with the project! In the future, I will try to remember this category as I create Civil War biographies. Scott Mingus 03:45, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Listing[edit]

Some folks are continually changing the Frank Tompkins and the Battle of Columbus pages to indicate that he had a CMOH. He did not. Please keep an eye on this page to make sure that they don't do it here also. --72.47.85.22 (talk) 14:03, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
