Magic Frame Animation is an animation studio producing animated stories across film, television and digital platforms. The company creates animated content that is distributed to global audiences.

With headquarters in Nicosia and London, Magic Frame Animation uses international servers connected to creative teams operating from countries including Canada, Brazil, the USA, India, Armenia, Spain, as well as the UK, Cyprus and more.

Magic Frame Animation produces animated stories that centre around fantasy adventures, science fiction and action-based narratives with global appeal. The educational content is known to feature a variety of diverse characters, with characters that resonate with kids and encourage learning and emotional development, self-confidence and kindness, inclusion and acceptance.

Company information[edit]

The company premiered its first animated feature film Rebellious, in 2023 at the American Film Market. Magic Frame Animation has several animated projects across film and television currently in development with its coproduction partners Creation Entertainment Media, including Aliens FC, Paul Martin and The Magic Magnifying Glass, BuddyBotz, and Saving Sleeping Beauty.

Following the pandemic, Magic Frame Animation continued to produce content remotely, working globally and flexibly with its international team of experienced artists and technicians. The company provides audiences with high quality animation, edutainment and parental co-viewing, globally appealing stories and creative forms of storytelling.

Rebellious[edit]

Magic Frame Animation premiered its first feature film Rebellious in 2023 at the American Film Market. The film is a coproduction with Creation Entertainment Media, and written by Annalisa LaBianco (The Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Tom and Jerry in New York) and Jeffery Spencer (Secret Magic Control Agency). Rebellious is produced by Sasha Shapiro (Dirty Grandpa) and directed by Alex Tsitsilin (Secret Magic Control Agency).

The film takes inspiration from Beauty & the Beast and is a modern adaptation of the classic fairytale. The story follows a princess who kidnapped by an evil sorcerer, Kezabor. The princess's clever fiancé must use his wit in a quest to find her, while the princess challenges her captors and plots an escape. Magic Frame Animation and Creation Entertainment Media are currently developing global distribution agreements for the film.[1]

Aliens FC[edit]

Magic Frame Animation is coproducing the animated feature film, Aliens FC with Creation Entertainment Media. The film is set across an array of fantasy locations including an eccentric alien planet, where they take their guests on an other-worldly adventure to their universe.

The studios have attached Oscar-nominated writer Sam Morrison (Shaun the Sheep, Peppa Pig,Robin Robin) to the project, who will collaborate with writing duo Tim Clague and Danny Stack to develop the film.[2]

BuddyBotz[edit]

Set to be released in 2024, is the animated series BuddyBotz, coproduced with Creation Entertainment Media, which is written by Tim Clague and Danny Stack. BuddyBotz follows a group of robots and two teen protagonists chronicling their adventures in a sci-fi animated world, where learning, family and inclusion are some of the most important values.[3][4]

Saving Sleeping Beauty[edit]

Magic Frame Animation and Creation Entertainment Media's feature film Saving Sleeping Beauty is currently in production. The film draws inspiration from the Sleeping Beauty and Hansel and Gretel stories, taking place in a new imagined universe, in which Sleeping Beauty and Hansel and Gretel interact in an important secret mission. In a race against the clock, the characters must work together to save a princess from her enchanted slumber.[5]

Paul Martin and The Magic Magnifying Glass[edit]

Also in development is the family feature film, Paul Martin and The Magic Magnifying Glass, adapted from Georges Alexander Vagan's Christmas-set book series. The story follows Paul, an 11-year-old boy, who lost his father at an early age, and loses his faith in Christmas and Saint Nicholas at the same time. By chance, he comes across a powerful magical artifact, the Magic Magnifying Glass, which been stolen from Saint Nicholas by his arch-enemy. Forces of evil and good start their fight for the young character's soul. The first film is expected for release in 2025 and the scripts are currently in development.[6]
