Focus on creating feature articles and reports for external clients through online platforms. The Morning Studio engages readers through storytelling while enabling the brand behind the content to achieve its marketing goals. Unlike traditional newspaper sections, Morning Studio is composed of experts in various fields such as journalism, multimedia graphics, film production, digital technology, and marketing, and is dedicated to creating digital multimedia advertising materials for online audiences.

The name "Morning Studio" symbolizes optimistic and fresh ideas in the morning, which is related to the creative development goals currently emphasized by the South China Morning Post.

"South China Morning Post" said that the brand content studio is a new component of the newspaper's long-term commitment to meet customer needs. In 2009, the company launched the Marketing Solutions Team, and the launch of Morning Studio increased the weight of its products because the studio includes both designers (art editors, etc.) and editorial talents. According to the South China Morning Post, Morning Studio’s business or products will include online brand advertising content, supplements or special edition content, various customized publications, and the planning of customized events.

The studio had been nominated twice for both Storytelling and Native Advertising of the 15th Annual Shorty Awards. One of the articles was Icon Forged in Steel: Royal Oak 50th Anniversary, which was a paid article Audemars Piguet that was nominated for both Storytelling and Native Advertising. Another article, Towards a Sustainable World, another paid article from HSBC, was nominated for Storytelling and also being one of the finalists in Native Advertising .

The SCMP Morning studio was founded by South China Morning Post (SCMP) in 2018 OCT 22. This is a dedicated branded content team that is leading the evolution of marketing in the region by more strategically connecting advertisers with readers through enhanced content solutions offerings.
