Samuel Decatur McGill (1879 - ?) was a prominent lawyer in the United States who represented African American clients.[1][2]

He was from Florida. He was the son of Nathan Agnes McGill.[3] He attended Dummer Academy in Massachusetts.[4] He graduated from Edward Waters College in 1902.[2] He studied law at Boston University.

Nathan K. McGill was his younger brother.

He married Rosa A. Brooks December 27, 1912 in Jacksonville.[3]

He lived at 1120 King's Road in Jacksonville.[4] He also lived at 25 West Union Street. His office was at 510 West Adams Street.[3]

He was a Republican and active in Republican clubs. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, National Negro Business League, and National Negro Bar Association.[3] He took trips to visit Boston in 1913 and 1918 and took a trip out west to Kansas, Colorado, and California in 1921.[3]
