Comment: For a Wikipedia article about a company to be published, the company must be notable. A company is notable if it is has significant coverage in several independent, reliable sources. Under Wikipedia's guidelines: "No company or organization is considered inherently notable." A source is independent if it is not a person or organization associated with the company. Trade publications are looked upon with skepticism. Press releases and interviews with company employees are not independent. Coverage of a company is significant if the subject is covered in depth in the source; passing mentions and routine news stories are generally not significant. Under Wikipedia's guidelines, sources that discuss only a part, product, or person associated with a company is not significant with regard to the company itself. "Deep or significant coverage provides an overview, description, commentary, survey, study, discussion, analysis, or evaluation of the product, company, or organization."Almost all of the sources here are trade publications. - Comment: Why list all of the patents? How is that encyclopedic? I understand why the company may want to list them but there is no benefit to an encyclopedia reader. Also, listing dubious awards is promotional. Would recommend removing them altogether. The tone in the rest of the draft also needs addressed but wanted to point out two of the main concerns. Tommy’s Express, LLC is an American car wash franchise established in 2016 in Holland, Michigan.[1] Tommy’s Express sells express car washes, and is classified as an automatic car wash, using a conveyor belt loading system to pull cars through the wash tunnel.[2][3] Chief Innovation Officer and President Ryan Essenburg is the co-founder of Tommy’s Express, with his father Tom Essenburg, while Alex Lemmen serves as Chief Executive Officer.[4][5]

Tommy’s Express operates as a franchise, with total costs for one car wash, including land, car wash system, and construction, averaging between $6-$8 million.[6] As of September 2023, there were over 165 active locations in the United States, with a recently announced international location underway in France and the Netherlands.[6][7][8]

In 1969, Jun and Sonny Essenburg founded Quality Car Wash.[9] In 2001, the Essenburgs took their car wash system equipment to market, which they developed for their Quality Car Wash locations, and founded the car wash systems and equipment company Tommy Car Wash Systems.[10][6]
In 2016, Tom’s son, Ryan, founded Tommy’s Express, bringing the family's car wash system and tunnel designs into the franchise industry.[6][11][12][13]
In 2021, work began on the location of Tommy’s Express’ new corporate headquarters. The building was completed, and the company moved in the summer of 2023.[14][15][16][17] The 245,000-square-foot building consolidates Tommy’s Express and Tommy Car Wash Systems operations under one roof.[18]

In 2021, Tommy’s Express began a Halloween-themed car wash event at a number of locations called Tunnel of Terror. In 2022, over 59 wash sites in North America participated in the event throughout October.[19][20]
Services[edit]
Tommy’s Express locations offer four different exterior wash packages for single or monthly membership purchase. Under the Tommy's Express model, wash sites include vacuums and mat washers for public use. The brand also vends interior detail kits at all locations.[21][22]
In 2016 at the launch of the franchise, the company launched their mobile application called the Tommy’s Express app, which is used for car wash membership management, account management, and gift card redemption.[23][22][24][9]
