Hitler (stylized in the film as Chiranjeevi Hitler) is a 1997 Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by Muthyala Subbaiah. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Rajendra Prasad, and Rambha with music composed by Koti. It is a remake of the 1996 Malayalam film of the same name, and tells the story of an overprotective brother who guards his five sisters from the outside world.[1] Released on 4 January 1997, the film was successful at the box office, ending Chiranjeevi's series of box office flops.[2][3]

Plot[edit]

The film begins in a town where a self-made, angry young man, Madhava Rao / Madhava, resides with his five sisters, Sarada, Annapurna / Ammu, Lakshmi, Gayatri & Saraswati respectively. He dotes on them under a shower of affection and batters everyone who rags them. Thus, the area youth titles him as Hitler for his hot temper. Besides, Aadi Seshu Madhava's maternal uncle's progeny are Balachandra / Balu & Bujji. The weddings of Balu & second Ammu, who endear each other, & Bujji & Madhava set, and they are just waiting for elder Sarada's espousal.

Meanwhile, Madhava moves to fix an alliance, Sarada, when naughty Bujji plans a picnic. Balu & Ammu have a blissful time and reach home earlier when the remaining also come back and startle to view Madhava landing before expected. Hence, a muddle arises, and Balu accidentally hides in a room. Madhava Rao delightfully presents new wear to his sisters by confirming the collector's match. They are unaware of Balu's presence inside and go to trial. Spotting it, Madhava enrages & assaults Balu with misconstrue. Aadi Seshu interrupts & cheaply talks about his sisters, so Madhava slaps him, too, by annulling marriages & relations. However, Balu challenges Madhava to spouse Ammu & makes him mingle with Bujji.

Once, the town youngsters are agitating against Madhava's dictatorship, led by Balu. He vanishes behind Madhava's presence when Madhava's father scatters the mob. Though the father is so affectionate towards his son, he receives his detestation, like Madhava thinks the father is his mother's homicide by re-marrying. Madhava is unconscious that it is all Aadi Seshu's ruse. Madhava's father stays with his two other daughters' second wife's children, and she, too, expired.

Frightened by his rivalry with father & son, Aadi Seshu advances to aid his three former ferocious foes, the Rudraraju brothers. Since the trio is waiting for a shot to pay back Madhava & Aadi Seshu, they pretend to cut a deal—additionally intrigue to ruin Sarada and attacks when she lands at her Professor, Mohana Rao's house, who molests her in an alcoholic state. Madhava becomes bewildered, being mindful of it, when Sarada submits to knit her with the Professor, which he does by concealing the actuality—furious Ammu gets out and nuptial Balu, which crashes Madhava. Aadi Seshu hinders Balu & Ammu's access, so they shift to Madhava's neighbors. Knowing the absolute event, Madhava's father abducts Bujji to conjoin with his son, but he kicks her, which ends hilariously.

Whereat, Rudraraju brothers guile to fuse Bujji with the younger Chinna, but she skips it by forging herself pregnant when the heels hike Aadi Seshu's savagery. They plot to accuse the Lakshmi, Gayatri & Saraswati of prostitution. Madhava's father gazes & secures them, but unfortunately, he becomes impeached when Madhava's hostility still arises. Ergo, he flares up on Aadi Seshu when Balu frays with him. The Rudraraju brothers blow it up by slaying Madhav's father when the father & son unite before leaving his breath. Yet, he quiets about his hitmen to avoid Madhava turning into a criminal, slaughtering them. Madhava kindly nears his half-sisters, but the remaining ones reject when he rebukes them, and they reach Ammu. Madhava gets to retrieve them, but Balu bars him, and a cold war erupts. Later, Balu retakes them, announcing Madhava's eminence, and he walks on his quest. Exploiting it, the Rudraraju brothers, in Madhava's guise, foxily make a murder attempt on Balu.

Forthwith, Madhava rushes to the hospital where he is completely devastated, receiving loath & guilt from his sisters, including Bujji. Here, Madhava blends the events and detects the actual miscreants are Rudraraju brothers and sets foot to smash them. Now, the blackguards backstab Aadi Seshu, whom Madhava secures. Gravely injured, Aadi Seshu states that Madhava is nonguilty to family members at the hospital. Till then, Madhava ceases baddies when his sisters' front seeks apology, but he cuts the cords being doleful. At last, Madhava is about to quit handing over his liabilities to Balu but returns, staring at a guy teasing his sisters. Finally, the movie ends happily with the proclamation: Hitler never absconded from these knotty relations.
