Matbali bin Haji Musah is a Malaysian politician who serves as the Member of Parliament for Sipitang since 2022 and was the Member of Sabah State Legislative Assembly for Lumadan from 2018 to 2020. An ethnic Bisayan (a sub-ethnic of the indigenous Kadazan-Dusun population native to the southern parts of Sabah state in the districts of Beaufort, his hometown cum birthplace and also Kuala Penyu), he is a direct member of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition since 2022.
Politics[edit]
He was previously the Deputy Chief of UMNO Sipitang division until 2019 when he quitted UMNO to join BERSATU, in which he became its pro-tem divisional chariman in which he served in this capacity until 2021, then was appointed full divisional liaison chairman and served in this position from 2021 until he quitted this party and joined the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah coalition under direct membership in 2023.[1]
