  • (This is my first DYK review.) I've tweaked the hook for grammar. Article has been recently promoted to GA. Earwig's detector doesn't indicate any concerns, only spurious hits. The factoid appears on page 1168, or on page 8 of the PDF ("Because most people were working outdoors and there was a warning foreshock, casualties were relatively light (∼100 killed)"). I'd say the hook is interesting to a broad audience, and the information is in the article and cited. Article itself looks to be in good shape. Ovinus (talk) 08:42, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
