Erroneously considered a Christmas song[edit]

I'm not sure what "Erroneously considered a Christmas song"? is supposed to mean. How is this determination made? Ciotog (talk) 19:25, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd suggest this is changed further to say "While it is most readily associated with Christmas it was also dedicated to..." because, let's face it, if the leader singer was dressing up as a Salvation Army member for the video there is little doubt that the band themselves wanted it to be a Christmas song. I guess it's like saying the movie Trading Places is about Christmas because Dan Ackroyd is dressed as Santa during the film but I agree the Christmas side of things gets a bit downplayed in discussions of this song. The lyrics are pretty clear the timing for the song is Christmas but I believe Hynde has indicated the song is about James Honeyman-Scott. Maybe Christmas-themed with some reference to the other meaning (agree this needs to be referenced not sure if this is sufficient - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/culturevideo/musicvideo/9756665/Christmas-songs-advent-calendar-Day-20.-Pretenders-2000-Miles.html). The lyrics include the line "It must be Christmas time" so I have taken out the word "Erroneously", as it could be considered as a song associated with Christmas. Cjc13 (talk) 00:15, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Two Thousand Miles[edit]

Wikipedia has an article Two Thousand Miles which is on an album by Owen Temple. Should this article have a tag at its top, saying for the article on the album by Owen Temple, go to Two Thousand Miles?Vorbee (talk) 16:53, 29 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dressed up as a polar bear[edit]

Should this article mention that the video features some one dressed up as a polar bear? Vorbee (talk) 16:43, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. A most bizarre video. 2600:1700:6B70:8C0:AC61:DEE2:7F40:3C56 (talk) 02:39, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
