Birth?[edit]

According to FreeBMD, no-one has had a birth registered under the unhyphenated surname of Kersey Brown, and only two people have ever had births registered under the surname Kersey-Brown; Edward Kersey-Brown (mother's maiden surname Allan) birth registered during July→September 1939 in Bristol, and Malcolm Kersey-Brown (mother's maiden surname Allen) birth registered during January→March 1941 in Bristol. It seems unlikely that only two people could have the surname Kersey-Brown; and these two people had births registered in Bristol, 18-months apart, with mother's who have only one letter different in their maiden surnames, the marriage registration of Edward S. Kersey-Brown to Margaret Allen, probably means Edward Kersey-Brown's mother's maiden surname was also actually Allen. In addition, according to FreeBMD, the marriage of an Edward I. Kersey-Brown was registered during January→March 1963 in Aled district (Denbighshire, Wales), and the marriage of an Malcom A. Kersey-Brown was registered during January→March 1965 in Westminster district. Could the A. in Malcom A. Kersey-Brown be Alexander? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 08:14, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it seems likely that the birth was actually in November 1940, and that this was registered in 1941. Somewhere along the way, the publicity machine has subtracted two years from his age. Also the date of death was either the 23rd or 24th of November, not the 30th as widely reported. How can reputable sources get their information so wrong? Dbfirs 12:40, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
