Does anyone have an idea what this song is about? No one has posted before but it's worth a try. the lyrics are very interesting and suggest a few possible meanings. the begining "She goes for her medical/She’s passed, it’s a miracle/She’s up over the moon/She whistles nonsense tunes" suggests an unwanted mediecal problem, and the fact that the song is about a singer she knows, i wonder if she was afraid of an STD or an unwanted pregnancy? either fit.

That makes sense. Does she know the singer? One line says she's banging on his drum, so is she in his band, or is that in the figure of speech sense? Her being in his band would fit with the other lyrics saying "what's that she's playing". Has Squeeze ever commented on its meaning? 70.238.249.124 23:46, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Alex[reply]
