Armenian national hockey team[edit]

The Armenian national hockey team defeated the national team of the South African Republic 13:1 during the first game of the World Hockey Championship.

That was in the U20 championships though. (I'm assuming you read [1] which completely fails to mention this fact.) An interesting point, although not really relevant to this article, being about another team. The actual men's team did win a staggering 18:1 victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina a month later though, but the game was later forfeited due to a rule violation, so officially it was a 0:5 loss.
