The Armenian Archbishop Shahan Sarkisian, Prelate of Aleppo, has serious doubts that ISIS destroyed the memorial because (1) it does not fit into their modus operandi, (2) there were no imminent hostilities between ISIS and the Armenians at that time, (3) there were serious hostilities however between the Armenians and Turkey: http://armenianweekly.com/2014/11/06/interview-prelate-of-aleppo/ This should be added the the article, I think. The Archbishop seems well informed.
