Older/classic cars[edit]

I believe one reason older cars such as Ford Cortina's, Rover P6's etc are used in UK Bangers is because they are not allowed fuel injection, which disqualifies some "newer" but worthless cars such as early Ford Mondeos 86.145.229.214 19:19, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]


The above is incorrect, fuel injection is allowed now, but also easily converted - the ford mondeo was only produced in mulitpoint injection form, but was already the most common car prior to injection being permitted at most tracks.

This article should really be seperated into two - one for European banger racing covering the various differnt styles, and another for US Enduro type events. Enduro racing and banger racing are not related, banger racing is culturally more akin to US demolition derby than Enduro.192.39.106.87 (talk) 14:38, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
