Michel Teló version[edit]

There is a lot of confusion about a supposed Michel Telo version. Thus far it hasn't gained notoriety just like the Alex Ferrari and Leo Rodriguez versions have done and I couldn't find it charting anywhere including in Brazil, so I am hesitant to create (for now) an infobox for his version. Just the fact that he recorded it doesn't make it notable if it is not one of his official singles. This is a "wait and see" situation I guess. I expect many editors coming in and trying to reinsert his contribution, but in case of no chart appearance, what we have now is adequate. No need to reflect it in the introduction section of the song. werldwayd (talk) 07:29, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dorgival Dantas authorship of the song[edit]

A new contributor has replaced all credits to read exclusively Dorgival Dantas crediting him as the sole author. This is not accurate. Dorgival Dantas may have contributed the main chorus (refrain) and the basic key lyrics as is evidence with this "original" interpretation by him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MQY_s8HCtc But it is very clear that the hits in Europe by various artists have additional and far more elaborate lyrics and they also contain additional musical contributions not found in the original of Dorgival Dantas rendition. A simple listening to Dantas original and these versions make it clear. The version by Alex Ferrari http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn7ICY9Pfmg contains lyrics not found with Dantas. The version by Leo Rodriguez has even more extended lyrics than that of Ferrari and certainly more than Dantas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HRJlq5sHB8 The Michel Telo also carries additional lyrics http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sMTzLJGDwk So it is incorrect to credit only Vargas when there are so much additional music and lyrics involved. werldwayd (talk) 18:26, 27 August 2012 (UTC) werldwayd (talk) 22:28, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"protect" song[edit]

What is a "protect" song? The first paragraph say "The refrain is a Bahian protect song". 204.210.240.163 (talk) 23:38, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
