reverted vandalism[edit]

The source provided by an IP doesn't say anything about an ethnic majority. I had removed the source before, but the IP re-added the source. He/She also vandalized Logar Province article. (Ketabtoon (talk) 19:18, 23 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Once again I had to revert false claims. User:Muxlim claims that the Tajiks are the majority but the source doesn't say anything about an ethnic majority. It writes
Baraki Rejan sits on a faultline between ethnic Tajiks and Pashtuns. There are also political factions active in the area, notably Jamiat-e-Islami and Hizb-e-Islami, with histories of mutual antagonism dating back to the Afghan civil war of the early 1990s. Local criminal gangs have also used the instability to align themselves with the Taleban. As government power in Baraki Rejan failed last year, Taleban-allied men from the Pashtun village of Shah Mazar began preying on the area. “They walked around with weapons robbing the people,” said one, who blamed Shah Mazar gunmen for the attack on the observation post. “People were happy when foreign forces stopped the crime, but now the problem is the American night raids.”
Taleban coming from another Pashtun village does not mean that there are no Pashtuns in Baraki Rajan or there are very few. (Ketabtoon (talk) 17:14, 25 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]
