Bastak article is in bad shape and still has signs of prior vandalism[edit]

Vandalism by user "89.148.32.125", and sockpuppets has introduced incorrect information into this article, and likely other articles related to southern Iran.

The vandalism appears to be centered around a bizarre and irrelevant arab and anti-shia content which has no relation to this article whatsoever.

Also the history chronology is incoherrent and backwards because the vandalism was not properly reverted. Attention of a qualified editor is badly needed to edit to correct information.Mehrshad123 02:44, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mohammed Bastaki[edit]

It is with deep sadness to see how some nationalist Arabs try to spoil the original history of Sunni Persians by deleting their existance and claiming that they come from "Arab" backgrounds which is totally wrong.

I simply ask those pathetic people to stop this uncalled for actions towards our history.

Bastakis, Evazis, Khonjis, Janahis, and other Sunni Persian villages in Fars province are not Arabs for the following reasons:

1) We are from the Iranian lands, and not coasts. Arabs who immigrated to Iran lived on the coastal areas of the Persian Gulf, where as we Sunni Persians resided inside the Iranian land far from the coasts.

2) Arabs who lived in the coastal lands of Iran have always spoke Arabic language, despite the Persian influence, yet they still found Persian language an alien element. Where as on the other hand, the Bastakis, Evazis, Khonjis, Janahis, and other nearby natives of the Persian villages they have always spoken local Persian dialects which is actually based on the "Middle Persian" language, the one used before Islamic era in Persia! We also use very less Arabic words in our Persian dialect which only shows how deep we are rooted into the Persian history & land.

3) If we were truely Arabs, why didn't we speak Arabic while being in Persia?! Why didn't we practise Arabic traditions & life style? Why didn't we celebrate local Arabic events? Why didn't we cook some Arabic food? Why didn't we wear Arabic clothes? If what those big mouth natiolistic Arabs who claim that we are from "Arabian" backgrounds, then why don't we have any bit of Arabian heritage in us?! The shocking fact for those nationalistic Arabs is that we Bastakis (along with Khonjis, and Evazis) we have always tracked a Persian life style with all its aspects, be in clothings, food, architecture, language, and also traditions. I seriously want to know what basis did those Arabs used to state their false claims?? What will they gain anyways?! Do they want to take away the pride of Sunni Persians for they have established the modern cities and life in both Dubai & Bahrein?? Are they in thirst for stealing other nation's culture & heritage??

4) We don't even look Arabic?! Since when Arabs are white skinned and got coloured hair and eye?! You can only find those features among our Sunni-Persian community as known as "Khodmoonis" which is a Persian term that means "one of us". We use that term to refer to our Sunni community members since we represent whom ever is left from Sunnis in Iran after the horrible massacres carried out by the Safavid dynasty that almost ended the presence of Sunni faith in Iran.

Some of us already have done DNA tests at National Geographic labs, and they got results of full Aryan blood! What else do we need to do to stop those Arabs from manipualting with our history!?

Some stranger is manipulating with the information of Bastaki people on wikipedia, and I really urge him to stop it. He still insist that Bastaki dialect is based (70%) on Arabic which totally stupid to say! Bastaki hardly use any Arabic words in their dialect! Even the relgious & Islamic terms used in Bastaki are Persian and not Arabic. We don't say "Azan Zuhr" like in the Modern Persian language (which is borrowed from Arabic), in fact we say "Bong-e Pashin", you can the huge differences and how Bastaki is far away from any Arabic backgrounds!

We are loyal to our Sunni faith and we are proud of our Persian heritage and traditions. Unlike most Arabs who are mostly proud for their "Arabian" backgrounds more than Islam! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.69.1.23 (talk) 15:45, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
