deletion?[edit]

This is a good candidate for deletion. There were hundreds of battles during the Caucasian War if we include raids and at least 50 were more important. Most sources mention it briefly if they are sufficiently detailed, but none to my knowledge call it the Battle of the Sunzha (Correction: The phrase 'battle of the Sunja river' appears on page 126 of Avtorkhanov and Broxup,'The North Caucasus Barrier' Benjamin Trovato (talk) 07:16, 19 August 2015 (UTC)). The name seems confined the English wiki. There were any number of battles along the Sunzha. Information about the battle is under Sheikh Mansur. It does not need a separate article. Name change[edit]

"Battle of Aldy" is a way better name for this article, especially since "Battle of the Sunja" is barely even used. The only time i read it was in Jaimoukha's book, and since he's not really a historian, i dont think its appropriate to use that name. Besides, thats not how you spell Sunzha.Busulb Vash (talk) 17:47, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
