Great article, and a good job inserting the in-line citations! Points for improvement:

I suggest an infobox. See the Battle of Gettysburg for an example.
I also suggest inserting map-coordinates of the church.
Shorten the headings; or, break up the sections with a sub-section or two, like so: === sub-section heading ===
