Date of construction for Beacon Hill B[edit]

This was around 1985, but I can't find a source. The lattice tower set off some complaints at the time of its construction, because it is more visible on the skyline than the guyed mast.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 13:50, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

March 2019 700MHz clearance; some Freeview HD channels are gone[edit]

As a result of the 700MHz clearance, some Freeview HD channels are no longer available from Beacon Hill, including BBC News, BBC Four, Al Jazeera, RT and several others. This should be mentioned in the article but there is a lack of RS. The source here says " Some +1 services or HD simulcasts of SD channels will be switched off from the Beacon Hill and Caradon Hill transmitters on the clearance date" but it is rather cryptic. The bottom line is that these channels are no longer available in HD from Beacon Hill as a result of the 700MHz clearance. It won't make any difference how many times the TV is retuned, these HD channels are not there any more.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 10:07, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
