The introduction...

The last paragraph before the article starts, the introduction portion, says Beyonce has sold more than 11.2 albums as a solo artist, however, she has sold MANY more than that...at least 20 million or so as a solo artist. However, all other sources other than this particular article, even Beyonce's albums articles add up a completely different number...Can that be fixed please/ mopre up-to-date? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gelleb (talkcontribs) 02:25, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

And why just in USA? You need to put the information sales worldwide! Beyoncé is an international artist! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.244.116.113 (talk) 03:20, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

I have not yet found a reliable source about Beyonce's worldwide sales. There are sources but they're her combined sales with Destiny's Child and not her sales as a solo artist. And some other sources claim she's sold more than 118/120 million but that's not true because her sales are around 60-70 million. See here Ozurbanmusic (talk) 06:31, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
It has now been mentioned that she's sold more than 75 million records worldwide. Ozurbanmusic (talk) 22:27, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Philanthropy

Philanthropy: In this item it's of extreme importance that if speaks of Charity Concert 46664 - is a series of AIDS charity concerts played in honour of Nelson Mandela, were Beyoncé sing a duet with U2's Bono "World Prayer". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Beyonc%C3%A9_Knowles_concert_tours http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/46664_(concerts) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.243.136.217 (talk) 01:20, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Relationship with Jay-Z

Beyoncé and Jay-Z: "Mega superstar singer Beyonce has reportedly let the word out that her husband, superstar musician and producer Jay-Z is the one and only to whom she lost her virginity. This revelation points to Beyonce’s disclosure that she’d only had two men in her life, a former boyfriend and her now husband Jay-Z. She goes on to detail that she’d had no real sexual experience although she did have a boyfriend or two when she was around 12 or 13 that lasted until she was 17. The 29-year-old “Dreamgirls” singer first dated Jay-Z around 2002 and kept their relationship under wraps until finally tying the knot in April of 2008 amongst such fanfare and media attention. The news that she had remained a virgin during her teens and adult life until finally getting married may be shocking to some but it’s the truth according to the singer. As attractive as she is – she had only one boyfriend before meeting the record mogul Jay-Z and they kept their integrity throughout their relationship until their relationship got serious. That is surprising for today’s standards but emphasizes the type of quality relationship the two have had and is an inspiration for other young people out there that it’s okay to keep themselves chaste until the right one comes along." http://www.mwza.com/beyonce-lost-virginity-to-jay-z/ http://kiss951.radio.com/2011/01/21/beyonce-talks-about-losing-her-virginity/ http://www.showbizspy.com/article/224697/beyonce-lost-her-virginity-to-jay-z-beyonce-hints-jay-z-is-the-first-man-she-had-sex-with.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.243.136.217 (talk) 01:32, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

House of Dereon Goes Global LF USA Acquires Beyond Productions:

"LF USA has acquired Beyond Productions LLC, the apparel and accessories company led by Beyoncé and Tina Knowles. Beyond Productions is a designer and licenser of women’s fashion apparel and accessories whose brands include House of Deréon, Deréon, Curvelicious and Miss Tina. In addition, LF USA has entered an endorsement agreement with Beyoncé for House of Deréon and Deréon. Terms of the long-term deal weren’t disclosed. Beyond Productions LLC was established in 2004 by the Knowleses, with Jason and Arthur Rabin and Cory Silverstein of Wear Me Apparel/Kids Headquarters, which is based in New York. Under the various monikers, Beyond Productions’ lines span ready-to-wear, casual sportswear, denim, outerwear, handbags, footwear and other accessories, which are distributed through department stores, mass merchants and specialty stores worldwide. In an interview Monday in New York with Beyoncé and Tina Knowles, Rick Darling, president of LF USA, and Bruce Rockowitz, president of Li & Fung (Trading) Ltd., they all spoke about their desire to expand the brands globally. “We’re at the point where we wanted to have more growth, and we needed someone who was global,” said Tina Knowles, creative director. “We’re very interested in taking the brand international, and L&F is the best at that.” She said the brand already has some distribution in Greece, Canada and China. Beyoncé told WWD she’s excited about the prospect of having more people wear the clothes and bringing the brands to a larger audience. “I just did a world tour, and I was able to see fans in the audience wearing Deréon in China and Egypt. To know that more people will have access to the brand is what we’ve worked so hard to do,” she said. She added that she’s very proud of Deréon, and has used the brand’s names in her songs’ lyrics. Darling explained that LF USA, which became acquainted with Beyond Productions through its 2009 acquisition of Kids Headquarters, is in the midst of expanding its portfolio of proprietary brands, “and this is a great addition.” “I think the brand hasn’t really been pushed the way that it could be. It’s done really well in a certain marketplace, and we think there’s a huge opportunity internationally that’s never been exploited,” said Darling. Rockowitz added that the acquisition will benefit from Li & Fung’s completion of its LF global network of LF USA, LF Asia and LF Europe. “Beyoncé is such a big name, and with her mother, the team is really strong and it has a global following,” he said. Darling added that he hopes LF USA will source as much of the product as they can themselves." http://live.drjays.com/index.php/2011/01/25/beyonces-company-bought-out-by-lf-usa/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.244.116.113 (talk) 00:00, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Influences and legacy

Katy Perry Credits Beyonce For Inspiration: “Teenage Dreams” singer Katy Perry is newly married to British comic star Ruseell Brand. But the “Firework” singer insists she won’t focus solely on love songs. “There is an obvious element in me that wants to entertain people and make their faces light up,” she is quoted as saying. “So I won’t only be singing songs about being a married woman.” “I always say a good example of that is Beyoncé. She sang Single Ladies but everyone knows she’s with Jay-Z,” she added. Beyonce as a married woman dominated the charts with “Single Ladies” and provide inspiration for many women, so it’s safe to say Katy Perry is following good company.

Ok, Katy Perry didn't actually say Beyonce is an inspiration. She used Beyonce as an example of what she was talking about. And please find a more reliable source about Billboard listing Beyone as the artist of decade. Ozurbanmusic (talk) 21:18, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

I think Beyonce should be added to the "African American Female Singers" list on Wikipedia

I think that Beyonce should be added to the following category:

Category:African American female singers

Beyoncé is number 25 at list of the 50 Most Beautiful Women In Film by Los Angeles Times Magazine! (Beyoncé made something of a surprise appearance on the list as #25, largely thanks to her work in 2006's "Dreamgirls"; the singer/actress was recently cast in Clint Eastwood's "A Star Is Born" remake. http://www.latimesmagazine.com/2011/02/50-most-beautiful-women-in-film.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.242.250.161 (talk) 22:01, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Beyoncé on the cover of L’Officiel Magazine (March 2011) paying tribute to the legendary Fela Kuti, transforming into an African Queen - The new direction of her new album (Fela inspired her in this fourth studio album): The Fashion magazine is about to celebrate its 90th birthday. To celebrathe this anniversary, the festivities start with the March issue, with Beyoncé on the cover. She agreed to pose for an incredible fashion shoot, with the theme of African Queen, paying a tribute to the legendary Fela Kuti. Far from the glamourous Sasha Fierce, the beauty posed for the magazine with amazing fashion designers clothes, but also in a dress created by her mother. A return to her African roots, as you can see on the picture, on which her face was voluntarily darkened. http://forums.thefashionspot.com/f78/lofficiel-paris-march-2011-beyonce-126405.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwvZ8OTAsMg&feature=player_embedded —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.240.187.160 (talk) 23:37, 19 February 2011 (UTC) http://beyonceindonesia.tumblr.com/post/3381951689/beyonce-covers-lofficiel-magazine-march-2011 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.240.187.160 (talk) 17:38, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

2004–2007: Destiny's Child reunion, films, and B'Day

In this B'Day item, I think you need to talk about the creation of her all-female "Suga Mama" Band (composed by thirteen women)! In this article we don´t see anything about this and the creation of her female band was in this date! Originally created for her 2007 tour, The Beyoncé Experience and her 2006 studio album B'Day. Suga Mama also worked with Beyoncé during her appearances to promote her third album I Am... Sasha Fierce and are alongside her on her 2009 I Am... World Tour and on her special show in LA I Am... Yours to support the album. (I´m sorry, but this is too important for we only see this in her associated acts. This is all about - woman empowerment!)
