Havana bidded?[edit]

Did the city of Havana, Cuba submit a bid but not make it to the short-list, or didn't it even submit a bid? Right now, the article has it listed as both "not make it to short list" and "did not submit a bid, but planned to". So which one is correct? I don't see how it could be both. According to GamesBids.com, Havana did in fact submit a bid, but did not make the shortlist. Jared (t)  14:18, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, thanks. :) I've amended the article accordingly. Cheers, Redux 15:43, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gaza bid[edit]

The article says that Gaza has planned a bid, but didn't submit an entry. I've never heard of a planned bid, and it's very unlikely that someone has seriously thought Gaza could host the Olympic games. Is there any source for this statement? RaLo18 19:57, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Keep the propoganda off of the article.[edit]

Thank you. This article is about the bid. Not about controversies. Please put it there. I added the neut tag after removing chunks that were blatantly biased in case there are other not neutral areas I missed/if I removed some things that were neutral. Edit:figured out where the unvandalized version was.ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 00:45, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Still seems somewhat not neutral, not on presenting, but on topic[edit]

I feel like the article's topic is about the bid, but it seems to consist of a significant amount of controversies from after the bid, now it is neutral in the non-vandalized version (save for some connotations), but I don't get why controversies take up such a large percentage. Perhaps shorten it and just add the Error: no context parameter provided. Use {{other uses}} for "other uses" hatnotes. (help). or Error: no page names specified (help). tag. ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 01:02, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Top section[edit]

The entire top section looks like it is riddled, if not completely overtaken, with controversies and general disdain for China. I suggest it be removed. Zoke (talk) 02:02, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
