Hi, I am trying to create a page for Bradford Perkins, the founding principal of Perkins Eastman. When I initially created the page, which included more information about his accomplishments (publications, professional activities) the page was marked as being too much like an advertisement. When I deleted this type of information, the page was marked as a candidate for speedy deletion, since it now seems questionable if the subject merits a wikipedia page. Any suggestions or comments on how to resolve the issue (whether in revising the entry or simply deleting it) would be appreciated. Ejho (talk) 19:46, 24 July 2008 (UTC)*[reply]

Hi, I believe the reason for why the entry was marked for speedy deletion is because I redirected it to the proper spelling of the entry: Bradford Perkins, rather than Bradford perkins. I could not figure out how to edit the entry title itself, and it seemed that the only option I had was to redirect. How can this be fixed? Thank you for your assistance. There are many Bradford Perkinses. This page should be renamed or otherwise disambiguated. For example, Bradford Perkins mentioned on Bancroft Prize is not this person. Mrsastrochicken (talk) 03:40, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion[edit]

This is a space to discuss the proposed deletion of the Bradford Perkins (architect) article. My inclination is to delete it for the reasons outlined below, but I would appreciate a discussion with anyone who feels otherwise.

A preliminary search about Perkins provides little indication of notability as an indvidual per WP:BIO. The previously flagged issues of tone, resume, and lack of citations have stood for 9-14 years now without resolution and the lack of citations present a challenge to WP:V. Frankly this whole page reeks of self-promotion and self-aggrandizing. I would be shocked if there's no WP:COI going on here.
