Requested move 10 April 2020[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Speedy close; revert articles to location status quo ante. When an article is moved without discussion it can be very confusing when an RM is launched to move it back. The articles will be returned to their original titles and anyone wishing to change them should propose a Requested Move. Timrollpickering (Talk) 19:23, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WP:COMMONNAME, cited sources and other templates/articles on Wikipedia refer to the regions as "Luhansk People's Republic" and "Donetsk People's Republic", even though they may not have international recognition. These are also the original page titles, and were controversially moved without discussion. 17jiangz1 (talk) 16:14, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Daily case reports[edit]

I removed a lot of info about daily cases. First of all, neither Ria Novosti nor the self-proclaimed Ministry of Health of the LPR are reliable sources (WP:RS). Then, if information cannot be based on reliable secondary sources (WP:PSTS), it is not notable for WP. And, of course, WP:NOTEVERYTHING (esp. WP:NOTSTATS) applies here.
