Very Poor Quality Article![edit]

Wolff was not just a physiologist, but was in fact a philosopher and scientist of encyclopediac breadth and depth, who wrote on philosophy, logic, mathematics, theology, law, physics, chemistry, and just about anything else you can name. To give the impression of him as just a physiologist, or even as primarily a physiologist -- which none of his contemporaries would have thought -- is to give a misimpression.
