Quipus section needs some editing[edit]

The section Quipus under Visual Art may need some editing. Quipus are defined twice, and we're also given a link to the official page on quipus.

UPDATE: Decided to remove extended explaination of quipus for simplicity. Original writing archived here:

Five thousand years ago, quipus were created by Andes people who did not write but wove meanings such as poems into the textiles and knotted cords in order to record and keep information. The quipo was also used in the region of Andean South America and contained lots of other values such as tax obligations, census data and military organization, so it is historically important. It has a spatial metaphor for the union of all. It connected communities in the Andes but disappeared after the conquest.

Updated Rating[edit]

Work by @1f380.2615: brought up the rating to B class. The editor wrote on my talk page regarding self-published sources:

1. The only outside verification I could find on the details of her early life was from her personal site. (After reading the timeline there I'm pretty sure whoever wrote that section actually just took the info directly from there). I decided to cite that page after reading Wikipedia's policy on self-published sources.
