Charles Mitchel made a huge impact on the Irish public in the early days of RTE. His name and reputation deserve to be preserved on these pages.

I have added citations to the newspaper articles which seem to have been the primary sources. I have also expanded the article slightly.

I have removed a sentence as it does not cite any source.

The disputed sentence has been restored twice following reversion to the original, without any contribution to this Talk Page. The anonymous editor cites no source for his or her defamatory contribution. Jim Bruce 09:03, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(Coming here from WP:3O, there is acuallay nothing to discuss or simply flag as uncited. According to Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material — about living persons should be removed immediately and without discussion from Wikipedia articles, as well as talk pages, user pages, and project space." Which I've done. --Tikiwont 13:56, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I notice somewhat belatedly, that we're talking about the late Charles Mitchel. Still, IMO WP:BLP can applied in spirit also to recently deceased persons, and in any case the burden of prof is on who adds the material. A personal impression is not sufficient. --Tikiwont 17:31, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
