Status[edit]

The institution's status is rather muddled. It's directly established as a legal person by the Act of Parliament, but it isn't formally a university or institution of higher education itself under the applicable laws (though two of its constituent departments are colleges). Yet it has the authority to grant degrees like universities do. --Paul_012 (talk) 17:19, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
