2009 or 2010?[edit]

Some sources say Crate Day started in 2009 (possibly referencing this page), but a search of Proquest Australia & New Zealand Newstream only returns items from 2010 and later. One item from 2013 states it is the fourth Crate Day, which would mean it started in 2010. Wainuiomartian (talk) 03:07, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

From my research, I can trace the earliest year for The Rock's Crate Day to 2010 [1]. This article says 2016 is the 7th annual Crate Day, meaning the holiday started in 2010. First mention I can find on The Rock Facebook page also is from 2010. I've found evidence for "crate days" as a more informal celebration between friends dating before then (on YouTube mainly), but for the scope of this article covering the formalised Crate Day holiday, 2010 works as a start date. I had initially put 2009 as the start date, but miscounted the years, so I've just fixed that error. Dudsud (talk) 12:15, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
