Untitled[edit]

I landed on Wikipedia's Cultural Arts page because I was looking for a definition of the term. I'm trying to figure out why my city has a "Cultural Arts District" rather than an "Arts District." The current definition on Wikipedia is not only not helpful, it is completely without foundation. You can't take a definition seriously that actually says, "Sometimes known as 'multificational-cultural arts." Seriously. By whom?

I agree, this whole article is pretty bad. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:56, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

Cultural artsCulture This is a basic article that doesn't really need to exist. It would be better if it was in the "Culture" article under its own section with this being a redirect there. --Anarchyte 11:42, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with merging this with 'Culture is the misunderstanding some will have with the idea of culture. e.g. A culture can pertain to the "drug culture' the 'biker culture' the western heritage culture', 'Italian culture' Etc,. 'Arts and culture' are not separate things but is a single definition about the arts as mentioned in the cultural arts item. Talking about arts and culture has nothing to do with talking about the arts and the Italian culture. or the drug culture. They have nothing in common. • Oppose Culture is a big topic which encompasses more than just the arts; it includes language, religion, traditions &c. Andrew D. (talk) 12:58, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Observing that the page in question is poor have have tried a bold redirect to the arts, instead, as this seems a better target. Andrew D. (talk) 13:01, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
